Sambal is my favourite spicy gravy preparation , especially when is paired with prawn, I just can't stop loving till the last bite. Always love cooking it. Malaysian inspiration and few authentic ingredients is all you need to prepare such a mouthwatering dish.
Ingredients
  • 6 Large Prawn
  • 2 Onion chopped
  • 6 garlic chopped
  • 2 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • ¼th teaspoon Sugar
  • 3 teaspoon Sambal Paste
  • 2 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 2 Lemon Slice
  • Few Coriander Leaves
  • ½ cup Water
Instructions
  1. To make prawn sambal recipe firstly clean and wash the shrimps and boil for 5 minutes in boiling water.
  2. Heat a wok with oil and fry the prawns with salt for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ginger , garlic and onion fry for 5 minutes more.
  4. Now toss in the sambal paste, lemon juice and the lemon slices and water to cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir continuously, check for salt.
  6. Serve hot with fried rice and some chopped coriander leaves as garnish .

  • 6 Prawns
  • 5 Garlic , chopped
  • 1 Thai Red chilli (Birds Eye Chilli) , chopped
  • 2 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger , chopped
  • 1 Onion , sliced
  • 2 teaspoon Black beans sauce , or black bean paste
  • 2 Button mushrooms , sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • Salt , to taste
Instructions
  1. To begin making the Prawn In Black Bean Sauce recipe, first clean and wash the prawns and slit in butterfly cut.
  2. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan and add ginger, garlic, onion, and chillies. Let it cook for about 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. After 2 to 3 minutes, add the prawns and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. After 5 minutes, add sauce and mushroom with 2 tablespoons water. Mix and stir till prawns are fully cooked. Serve hot.

Here I have used a very simple easy to make Tom Yum Egg And Shrimp Soup, a soup with egg and shrimps but have added the tom yum malaysian fresh spicy readymade paste mix. A fresh aromatic chilli, oil and herb based preparation almost resembles like a pickle. Try this recipe to rejuvinate your tastebuds with this shrimp and egg soup recipe for a refreshing week ahead.
Ingredients
  • 6 Prawns
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Tom Yum Paste
  • 1 inch Ginger , sliced
  • 1 Carrot , sliced
  • Green Bell Pepper (Capsicum) , few (sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon Scallion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon Water
  • 2 cups Chicken stock , or vegetable stock
  • Salt , to taste
Instructions
  1. To begin making the Tom Yum Egg And Shrimp Soup recipe, first cut all the vegetables and keep all ingredients ready.
  2. The recipe only will need ½ of one beaten egg.
  3. Heat a saucepan with chicken broth and bring to a boiling point. Add prawn, ginger, capsicum, cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Add the tom yum paste and give a single stir. Add cornflour mixed with water and add to the soup. Check for salt seasoning.
  5. Drizzle the egg from top with a fork but dont stir. Stop the flame.
  6. Garnish with scallion and serve the hot soup immediately. Serve Tom

In this recipe, arzo pasta is the main ingredient in making the dish. Risotto rice is not used here instead the pasta that is in the shape of the rice grain is cooked which is also called as Arzo Pasta. Full of healthy goodness is served along, as green beans and prawns.The use of chicken broth to boil the pasta enhances the extra flavor. Exceptionally, a light meal that can be served for lunch box or for dinner. Here tomato and almonds are used to make the red pesto, an addition of more oil will make it tastier.

  • 1 cup Orzo pasta
  • 2 cups Chicken stock
  • 100 grams Green beans (French Beans) , chopped
  • 6 Prawns
  • 1 Onion , chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Sundried tomatoes , paste
  • 10 Almonds
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • Basil leaves , Few
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Parsley leaves , as required
  • Salt , to taste
Instructions
  1. To begin making the Prawn And Beans Orzo Pasta recipe, At first, clean the prawns and season with lemon, salt, and chopped parsley. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat a saucepan with chicken broth and add pasta, beans, and a little oil. Strain once pasta is cooked.
  3. Use a blender to coarsely blend garlic, almonds, tomato paste, basil and half oil. Reserve in a small bowl.
  4. Take a medium frying pan and heat rest of the oil, and fry the prawns till cooked. Once cooked, remove from the pan and keep it aside.
  5. Into the same pan, add onions and cook for about a minute. Add the tomato paste and cook for about 3 minutes.
  6. Now pour all the pasta and stir well to coat in red pesto. Check for salt seasoning and drizzle lemon juice.

We all love to eat prawns, my favourite is cooking it in thai sauce. It is simple and easy to cook. This recipe includes cream, coconut milk and ginger to make the creamy gravy. The sweet aroma of basil, the tangy lime flavour and the use of fish sauce makes all the difference to coat the prawn and enhance its taste. A must try for all seafood lovers during this monsoon season.
Ingredients
  • 200 grams Prawns
  • ½ cup Coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh cream
  • 5 Basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger , paste
  • 5 cloves Garlic
  • 2 Fresh Red Chilli
  • ¼ teaspoon Fish sauce
  • 2 Lime Wedges
  • Coriander leaves (Dhania), handful
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • Red Yellow and Green Bell Peppers (Capsicum) , chopped into chunks
  • 1 Stalk Lemongrass
  • 1 Lime leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • ¼ Water
  • Salt , to taste
Instructions
  1. To begin making the Prawns In Thai Creamy Ginger Coconut Sauce, firstly clean the prawns nicely.
  2. Heat a saucepan with sesame oil and add ginger, garlic, lemongrass, fresh red chilli, and salt to fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the prawns, fish sauce, coconut milk, water, bell pepper and cook for 7 minutes or so.
  4. After 7 minutes, add tomato, basil, coriander leaves and salt. Garnish with cream, coriander leaves and lime wedges. Serve hot.
  5. Serve Prawns In Thai Creamy Ginger Coconut Sauce along with Steamed Rice and Thai Som Tum for a weekend meal.

Italian Jumbo Prawn Roast Recipe With Basil, Tomato & Cottage Cheese

Italian Jumbo Prawn Roast Recipe With Basil, Tomato & Cottage Cheese is a simple Italian dish for a special event. The wine and almond powder is a nice dress-up touch for these pan roasted Jumbo Prawns. The richness of cottage cheese and pasta sauce especially flavoured with strong, sweet aromatic basil leaves and garlic that is so important in Italian cooking. These prawns and sauce is cooked separately to retain its own distinctive flavour. I have pan roasted the prawns but you can use any cooking method like boil and then roast or just broil or grill for health factors suitable for you with saltwater shellfish you use.
Ingredients
  • 4 Jumbo Prawns
  • 2 teaspoons Red wine vinegratte
  • 1 teaspoon Almond Meal (Powder)
  • Salt , to taste
  • ½ cup Paneer (Homemade Cottage Cheese)
  • 2 tablespoons Del Monte Pizza and Pasta Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika powder
  • 20 Basil leaves
  • ¼ cup Milk
  • 4 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 Fresh Red chillies , slit
  • ½ teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 10 cloves Garlic
Instructions
  1. To begin making the Italian Jumbo Prawn Roast Recipe With Basil, Tomato & Cottage Cheese, first clean the prawns and dry it.
  2. To avoid curling of prawns. Skewer them on wet wooden skewer sticks.
  3. Marinate the prawns with half of the red wine vinaigrette and salt for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the almond powder to coat the flesh of prawns and keep for 5 more minutes.
  5. Heat a large grill frying pan with a little oil and roast both sides of prawns turning once for 15 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile heat a small heavy bottomed sauce pan with oil enough to fry the garlic pods. Add and fry the garlic pods for a minute.
  7. Add pasta sauce, milk, cottage cheese, rest of the red wine vinegar and paprika to pan.
  8. Whisk together for about 5 minutes on low-medium heat and then add the basil leaves and slit red chillies.
  9. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  10. Check the prawns until cooked through.Sprinkle lemon juice on prawns .Turn off the heat.
  11. Discard the skewers from prawns carefully.
  12. Place the prawns on platter, spoon the sauce over on side. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
